Through layers of colour and intuitive mark-making, the landscape gradually revealed itself as I painted. Glimpses of blue water, tangled vegetation and distant peaks emerge among shifting greens, earthy tones and golden hues, evoking the changing seasons and the feeling of wandering deeper into the wilderness.”
